A quick update on the plans made at our last business meeting:

• Profiles: There are now seven profiles on the website, and more would be welcome.  Just send your text to Colin.  Other flourishes have also been added, so do check out our wonderful website!


• Voice Projection: We are aiming at the afternoon of Sunday 4th March as the date for a self-help workshop, facilitated by Cameron Hawke-Smith, and maybe others.  Title: Getting It Across.  Max of 8 in addition to the facilitators.  Small cost to cover the hire of the Quaker Meeting House.  Book your place now!


• Summer Reading: Gerard and Catherine Benson will read from their work, and answer questions, on Sunday 1st July, again at the Quaker Meeting House.  Gerard was one of The Barrow Poets in the 1960s and also one of the founders of Poems on the Underground.  Probable cost £7.00, or £6.00 in advance.


• And don't forget:  Nick Wells will be our guest for a special 'Desert Island Poems' event as part of the Bury Fringe Festival, on Tuesday 8th May: members from Suffolk's five poetry cafes will read Nick's favourite poems.
