Down the rabbit hole
again you go
taking darkness for love
to nourish your soul
Seeking random encounters
with spectres and ghouls
to brighten a world
that is brackish and cold
the light of the blackness
that only you know
Down the rabbit hole
again you go

Down the rabbit hole
you go again
To find what you will
to lessen the pain
What glittering prize
engraved with your name
will crack through the mask
leave your torture displayed
the devils and demons
conduct chaos replayed
Down the rabbit hole
you go again

Down the rabbit hole
again you go
diving for pearls
risking danger below
Trusting your safety
to strangers you know
will gouge at your eyes
for those gems as they glow
Returning with nothing
but falsehoods and hope
Down the rabbit hole
again you go

Down the rabbit hole
again you go
for a land of wonders
and mirrors dissolves
the terrors and madness
the harshness of light
beamed on reality
bitter and bright
dazzled and dazed by
the headlights' firm hold
Down the rabbit hole
again you go

Down the rabbit hole
again you go
elastic emotions
wound tight to explode
hair-trigger tensioned
trip-wired to blow
a precision shape charge
sprung with secrets you know
leaving a crater
to bury your woes
Down the rabbit hole
again you go

Down the rabbit hole
where you've been again
to return with the dervish
that should have remained
You released from the prison
that should have restrained
the Tower of Babel
that should be contained
with The Scream dressed in oils
impeccably framed
Down the rabbit hole
where you've been

Again
