I'm sorry if I'm causing you a problem
I'm sorry if you can't see wood for trees
Like Gordon facing up to failure
Or Ashcroft with his money in Belize

You need to share your heavy burden
with someone just as strong as you
to take the strain when you are weakening
just to ensure your truth gets through

What will you miss when I no longer court you
And lying still, lie still within my grave
Not flowers that I never bought you
Or kisses that you never gave.

My unrequited adoration for you
will stay with you for ever evermore
and clumsy though I am expressing it
will overwhelm your senses with a roar
