the Light shone
on him where he was
and he was illumined
called

he followed the Light
leaving all for him;
he saw that Light extinguished
and ran to the Light’s rising

he lived the new life in the Light
being glad in the Light
he was faithful to that Light
which flooded his being

to the end he remained "called"
and followed the Light
into the Light
being taken up into the Light

no trace of him has been found
no relics in the ground

though there is a relic of his hair
temporarily, in the British Museum
