It’s only if you have the desire
That you can reach for things much higher
To pick the apples from top of tree
And being where you ought to be
Achieving what it is you want in life
Able to deal with hardship and strife

Be prepared when the world knocks you off
To get back on again
To fly in the face of negative thoughts
And of evil men
Whose main aim in life is to hold you back
Destroy your every dream
Only because you may end up
Where they have never been

Or are never likely to go
They’re in the lane of the also-rans
The lazy and the slow

Be sure to listen to advice
But not if it sounds just comfortable and nice
Because that’s reserved for the unadventurous
And those who will rarely make it
You’re the type looking for risk
And, more important, willing to take it

Where few have ever been before
And if they have, they reach the door
And, without opening
Head back towards their comfort zone
To the only place where they feel at home
