Full instructions and a map where to find him you see
Hanging from the oak, reliable ladder below
Two feet hanging from the dangling worn out boots
He'd planned it, arranged it, no shame
Reliable Postie brought it that morning
Norfolk and Norwich the postmark said
This was the time, he knew the answer now
Eleventh day, eleventh hour, eleventh month
They wouldn't forget while he kept the time
Eleven months wothout her, living alone
Daddy should have gone first, that's what they said
The winter wood cut, many years buring ahead
Mother would've coped, she always did
Only the logs left, mossed over, bereft.
