My libido is going the way of the Dodo
The rise of the droop of its beak
Unexpected

It leaves me detached
From the call of the wild
There are Orcs in the alley
But I'm just too tired
To go smite them down
I just can't be bothered
I'd rather accept
The colour
They bring to the town

More than Orcs there are Manga's
Voluminous creatures
Of fantasy
Creeping through streets
And screens of false hues
Fighting
And reproducing
But how?
And with whom?
I could go find out
But I'm virtually spent
My get up and go
Just got up and when
It is clear where it is then
I'll send it a postcard
"Wish you were here"

And who, you might ask,
Has released these wild creatures
From within the machine
That has housed them 'til now?
The machine that was born
To save us from war
Now serves mock warriors
Of binary blood
In virtual tumult
And pointless affray

Is there something quite wrong
With me
Deep down
Perhaps I want to walk
In my workaday clothes
Through Manga Town
To look so outrageous
A freak so contagious
That when they found out
That I was being me
And not pissing about
Perhaps the phantasmagorical
Would fade
Into natural shades
The virtual world
Would vanish away

The Dodo libido
Would rise after all
