The golden-headed
infant Arachne gave herself
to the gossamer fair, a horse

pasture wrapped in cellophane.
I was hooked, or rather became
a hook in her glitzy enterprise.

It was a brief acquaintance.
She flew, who had no wings,
to her appointment with the blue.
