Read by Colin Whyles

Hope is the song of the bird in the tree,
Or the raindrop that softly kisses the leaves
In the harsh winter wind or the sweet summer breeze,
Hope is the force that makes us believe.

Hope is a state in one’s mind,
That all they need they will find
Hope is the light that quietly guides
A strength which grows deep inside.

Whatever may happen,
At any cost,
Make sure hope is never lost
With it near you will be ok
Hope is the dawn of each new day

Where hope lies dreams are made
Evil is beaten and spirits are saved

James Broxup

James is a young poet working in South Korea. He submitted two poems to us. We thought this was an honour and they were read at our meeting in July 2011.

It shows what reach the Internet has!
