Like a father with his children
so has been the visit of Pope Benedict 16th
to the Catholic Church in the UK

Like Jesus with the feeding of
the four and five thousands
so has the successor of Peter
been shepherding and feeding
Christ’s flock

Such intimacy and teaching
authoritatively of Jesus
God Incarnate, Man crucified
mankind’s only hope for true happiness

Who else in the world could or would
have recalled the people to God
to Christ and to His Church
leaving behind such a blessing
confounding the critics

Overwhelming presence of
the blessed Holy Spirit
bringing peace, joy and love
uniting everyone
in the heavenly places
