Life’s in a state?
Finances too?
Then I’ve got the very job for you
Go into politics
It can’t be beat
Particularly if you can act and cheat
There are plenty of handouts going round
And don’t worry, you won’t get found
If you do, you say you didn’t know
That’ll get you off, not “Joe public” though
Unlike you, he’ll go to jail
And end up pissing in a pail
Another way is to pay it back
And that will be the end of that
By now you must be getting what I mean
It’s so easy, it’s obscene!
Oh! I forgot to mention
If caught, you must say sorry
Make sure your smile is at the back of the pile
On your face, a look of worry
Look very stern, like at drama school
Even though you’re making a fool
Of the Taxpayer, trying to make ends meet
Three jobs, five kids and nothing to eat
If the finger of suspicion still points at you
Become a “blame” seeker
Create a gang with some of your mates
And get the resignation of the Speaker
It’s all very sad to see him go,
But you don’t appear to be crying
Cos you know, as well as I do
It won’t stop cheating and lying!
