If you ever see the Tooth Fairy,
And I nearly did see her once,
You might not be pleased
When you see that she
Has a smile full of your teeth.

For the Tooth Fairy's smile is stolen
She can't grow her own teeth, somehow,
So she borrows from others
And stuffs her mouth full of
Whatever she can recover.

It's become such a habit with her
That she's got more than her fair share
Row upon row of glistening fangs
More than a shark ever has upon hand
More than a one hundred piece visiting band.

In fact, sharks around her are quite wary
You'll never see them gnash or bite
They slide by tight-lipped
To give her the slip
In case she should fancy their pearls in her lip.

The reason you never see a Tooth Fairy
Between the hours of dawn and dusk
She's too busy needing
To scrub her teeth clean in
A car wash, just to keep them gleaming.

There's never been one like the Tooth Fairy
Her smile could light up the sky
But she never opens her mouth
In case her teeth all fall out
And instead of a smile she's left with a frown.
