A bolshevik - I was never seen
paying respect to king or queen,
but if we had a Scotland free
a Scotland as big as our heart
frank as a happy child can be
a generous fine heroic Scotland
shot of the bourgeoisie
the hoarders the grafters the profiteers
a Scotland of spirit and liberty
a Scotland of our blood and love,
I should break the laws of royalty
the laws of the prudent, and clean
in the face of the new Republic
declare you Scotland’s Queen.
