Life is full of squares and rounds,
Long straight lines of ups and downs,
Coloured Rainbows, bright blue skies,
Words of wisdom, butterflies.
Life is full of dots and dashes,
Sharps and flats and inspired flashes,
Sheets of paper, black and white,
Rhythmic noises in the night.
Life is full of weights and measures,
Passing time and hidden pleasures,
Laughter, romance, joy and sorrow,
Hope of peace, today, tomorrow.
Life is full of twinkling lights,
Curves of moon and starlit nights,
Twists and turns in oceans, seas,
Cyclonic wind or gentle breeze.
Love’s no shape, that I recall,
Yet travels round a giant ball
Hand in hand with life like lovers,
All dependent on the others.
